Steve Gaskill grew up in Davis County and has called South Weber home for the past eighteen years. He earned a BA from Northwestern University in 2001 and was named a Law-Medicine Scholar at Case Western Reserve University School of Law, graduating with a JD in 2006.

Steve has worked for the Cleveland Clinic on medical innovation and commercialization, was Director of Intellectual Property, Franchising and Real Estate at LoveSac, and currently works as an Analyst and Patent Attorney at Cardinal Intellectual Property.

Steve is dedicated to his community and for the past two years has chaired the Governor Cal Rampton Memorial Constitutional Essay Contest for eighth graders in Davis County. Steve also loves the outdoors, and has served on the Upland Game Advisory Board with the Utah Division of Wildlife Resources, in addition to holding memberships in the East Duck Club and the Utah Chukar and Wildlife Foundation. Steve is also involved with the arts, as a member of the Salt Lake Film Society and member of the board of directors of Girls Rock Vegas/Girls Rock SLC, a non-profit music education organization.

Steve is running to represent the common sense values of his community by working to increase funding for our schools, promoting smart, sustainable economic development and making government work for all Utahns.
